Mae-san, the owner of the cat shelter cafe "Mi-cha & Mi-cho" in Showa-cho, Abeno-ku, Osaka, has shared with us a report on the cats in April and May 2024.
Spring kitten season!

In April, volunteers rescued three kittens, about three months old, from a breeding site in southern Osaka and were able to transfer them to foster parents.
It's also spring kitten season and we have four kittens to take in and raise.
I still have to wake up in the middle of the night, but I'm doing my best!
It was a great help to be able to use the money for the kittens' baby food and medical expenses.

In May, we took in one kitten that had been rescued outdoors, one rescued cat from Matsuyama City Health Center, one kitten rescued from a multi-cat scene, and two kittens that had been rescued outdoors, for a total of four kittens.
