Aoneco Support Destination: Shizuoka Prefecture "Cat Cafe Irori" Activity Report March-May 2024

Aoneco's support recipient, Cat Cafe Irori, reports on their activities from March to May!

Representative Mochizuki-san reported on activities from March to May 2024.

I bought some preventive medicine in March!

This will be used as part of the cost of purchasing flea and tick prevention medication.
We administer flea and tick preventative to all of our pets once a month throughout the year, and we use a large amount of it, so your support is greatly appreciated.
Recently, the number of kittens has increased and we have been receiving inquiries about this, but our store's capacity is such that it is difficult to accept them all, and we feel very frustrated at our inability to do so.
For now, we are doing our best to find homes for the children we currently have and make room for them.

In April and May, Ojiya developed FIP and treatment began!

In April, Ojiya, a dog in our clinic, was diagnosed with FIP, and we used your donations to cover part of the medical expenses.
Fortunately, the condition was discovered early and he is recovering smoothly thanks to medical treatment.

His weight and various test results are good, so he is currently under observation and has stopped taking medication.
If there are no problems for more than a month, I can say that I am in remission, which is a relief.

FIP was an incurable disease until a few years ago, but now several treatments are available.
However, we are able to continue these expensive treatments thanks to your support.
I would like to thank you on behalf of my uncle.
We would appreciate your continued support to the extent that you can.

The close siblings Himawari and Komugi

We also received an application to foster another dog in May, and we are planning to put one on trial as soon as the other party's circumstances are ready.
We will do our best to support you so that you can make a good connection.
