A report on the activities of aoneco's supporter, the NPO animal welfare organization "LYSTA," in March, and a thank you for their donations!
From Mr. Suzuki, the representative of the Fukushima Prefecture NPO LYSTA:
We received a report on the cats in March 2025 .
This is a report on activities for March.
Following two cats developing the disease in January, two more rescued cats developed FIP in March.
Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) is a disease caused by the feline enteric coronavirus mutating into the highly toxic FIP virus inside the cat's body, and if left untreated, the mortality rate is 100%.
There are many illnesses that we have to deal with for the long term, such as highly malignant cancer, kidney failure that cannot be cured once it has progressed, and heart disease that requires a lifelong relationship with medication. There are also illnesses that can take your life quickly, with nothing you can do about it.
FIP treatment is expensive, but now that FIP can be put into remission with 84 doses of medication, I feel like "If it's FIP, we can cure it!"
The two who developed the disease in March were Chomaru-kun and Rimu-chan.
Chommaru-kun!
Let's do our best to force-feed Rimu-chan!
We are struggling with Rimu's treatment as it has been ineffective, but we will do our best to help her recover.
He has lost his appetite so I force feed him three times a day.
Please pray that the children who have developed the disease will be saved and keep an eye on them.
Thank you for your continued support.
