From Ms. Suzuki, representative of the NPO "LYSTA" in Fukushima Prefecture,

we received a report on the cats' activities in April 2026.

 

April Activity Report

 

67 cats underwent TNR.
Out of 32 female cats, 20 were pregnant, and others had already given birth.
Pregnant cats undergo abortion along with sterilization surgery.

Repeated pregnancies and raising kittens place a significant burden on the mother cats' bodies, and moreover, the world is not such that all the kittens that would have been born can live happily without any difficulties.

For the female cats who had abortions, we hope that "from now on, you can live only for yourselves."

 

4 new cats were taken in.

 

Live safely at LYSTA!

Shichimi-chan and Ichimi-chan were taken in from the public health center.
These two, who had lived being treated as a nuisance by humans, were also abandoned by the irresponsible people who fed them and were brought to the public health center.

Having lived in such an environment, the two cats swat at people as if they resent them.

But here, you won't have to worry about food, water, heat, or cold.

There will be no one to harm you.

Therefore, we hope you can live safely here.

 

Tama-chan (the cat in the thumbnail image) was loved and watched over in the community, but due to a single person who disliked cats and spread poison, LYSTA took her in.

Gattsu-kun, a former stray cat, had a hole in his neck, but it healed very quickly.
