September Activity Report of NPO Animal Welfare Organization LYSTA

Hello, this is Sakamaki.

Donation tickets are donated every day by aoneco supporters.
How are they used and what activities are they doing once they arrive?
I'll introduce a simple method to help clear up some of these doubts.

We received a report from Mr. Suzuki, the representative of LYSTA, which is active in Fukushima Prefecture.

Report on the rescue cat activities of the nonprofit animal welfare organization LYSTA

[Senior cat adopted from a public health center]
I adopted a cat about 15 years old that was being kept at a shelter.
He had mouth pain and drooling a lot, and we were worried about his age, but after he had a tooth extracted the drooling stopped.
I hope that the cat's pain will be alleviated, but I also want him to be able to enjoy good quality food that is easy to digest and absorb, and to have a healthy mouth and stomach with supplements so that he can feel good.
[Public Housing TNR]
An elderly person contacted us to inquire about sterilization and neutering for the cats that had been multiplying in their public housing.
It seemed difficult for them to capture the animal and bring it to the surgery themselves, so we helped with the capture and transport.
While I was getting lost in the public housing, I discovered other colonies of cats.
The colony that we consulted about earlier completed TNR for all of their animals in September, but the animals in the other colonies will undergo a population survey before undergoing mass TNR.
[Cats whose owners have died]
Cats were left behind at the scene of a large pet household where an owner passed away.
We heard about this more than a month after the owner passed away.
Apparently there was rice and somen noodles scattered around, so perhaps that was what they were surviving on.
However, during that time, a cleaning company had been sent to clean up the house, so it's possible that the starving kitten was removed, and the four cats that had strayed outside had already been abandoned in the mountains by a neighbor.
LYSTA was able to rescue only five of them who were able to survive indoors, but they were all thin and when they were given food they would gulp it down.
I want them to eat good, quality food, and occasionally snack on grilled bonito flakes or chuuru to satisfy their hearts, so that they know they no longer have to worry about food.
That's all.
To everyone who has chosen LYSTA as their supporter, your donations will also be used for the above activities.

Thank you for reading to the end.
